Check out DAY 1 Highlights HERE

What a great day it was for the final day of the 2015 Totally Crustaceous Tour Global Champs down at Lower Trestles! Once again, we saw perfect 10-point rides, impressive surfing from all divisions across the board, and excellent wave and weather conditions.

The Pro-am division kicked things off with their Quarterfinal heats. Charly Quivront, Yago Dora, and Miguel Tudela all finished in the top spots securing their place in the Semi-finals, which saw excellent heat scores with 16 & 17-point heat totals. The finals were then set with Griffin Colapinto (US), Miguel Tudela (PER), Yago Dora (BRA), and Noah Schweizer (US). The Groms lit it up once again while standout, not just in the Grom division, but overall, Nick Marshall, dropping another 10-point ride with several impressive back-up scores.

The Groms Semifinals had standout performances by Mateus Herdy and Kade Matson, while the Juniors continued to battle it out with another top performing heat by Jake Marshall with a near-perfect score of a 19.50.

Girls Semifinals were stacked with an almost all United States draw. Throughout the event, Alyssa Spencer has been on fire and she proved once again why she deserved to be here, dominating her heat for Semi #1 while another in-form surfer Caroline Marks grabbed her two high heat scores and prepared for the final.

The Girls final included Alyssa Spencer (US), Camilla Kemp (PRT), Caroline Marks (US), and Kahanu Delovio (US). Right from the start, we knew it was going to be a close final with all Girls scoring great waves, but it was Caroline Marks who continued to show us what the level of Girls surfing has become, impressing the judges to total a heat score of 17.34 for the win.

Junior finals saw Jake Marshall (US), Wil Reid (US), Harley-Ross Webster (AUS), and Nolan Rapoza (US). Three Americans and one lone Aussie held nothing back out in the Lowers lineup as they traded off wave-after-wave, eager to get a piece of that $30,000 prize. In the end, it was Nolan Rapoza who bagged an impressive heat total to be crowned the 2015 TCT Juniors Global Champ!

The Grom final was a nail-biting finish! A favorite going into the final was Nick Marshall, who between he and his brother (Jake Marshall), have been on fire the entire event. Brazil's Mateus Herdy was a definite force and held the first position, pushing Nick Marshall, Kade Matson, and Robert Grillho III to find some gems. It came down to the last few seconds when Nick grabbed a quick left with a solid air reverse, but came up just short, leaving Mateus to be crowned the 2015 Volcom TCT Champs Groms winner!

The Squids final was electric with Jackson Bunch (HI) grabbing an early lead with two high heat scores and some solid confidence. Brayden Burch (US), Afonso Antunes (PRT), and Dane Matson (US) had close heat totals all between 10 and 11 points. Jackson Bunch held his ground and topped the other three competitors and was named the 2015 Volcom TCT Champs Squids Champion!

The Pro-am final saw Miguel Tudela (PER), Noah Schweizer (US), Yago Dora (BRA), and Griffin Colapinto (US). While the wave conditions were improving, the sun was out, the beach was packed, and the 20 & Under men were ready for action! A stacked final indeed, and we were not disappointed. Yago excited the crowd grabbing 7s and 8s all the way to the end of the end, doing air reverse after air reverse. But Miguel battled back by getting one of the best waves of the final at the very end of the heat getting a 9.6 and taking the lead.

William Aliotti wins the Arica Pro Tour in Chile
What an incredible trip in South America for the free surfer, William Aliotti who just won the WQS 1500 of Arica. Photo Credit : WSL The young french surfer was traveling in Chile with Seb Zanella, Desillusion’s chef editor, to work on his new coming project. Photos Credit : Seb Zanella/Nixon William had the opportunity to be in the draw of the first WSL contest he competed this year, and everything turned like a dream. Heat after heat, William showed incredible surf skills in heavy conditions, scoring big numbers. The final was the high point of William’s trip, where he earned a 10 point ride and the respect of the crowd ! Photos Credit : Seb Zanella/Nixon "Arica is incredible; the waves are always big and powerful, and it's consistent with any kind of swell. The people are great, the food is delicious and I had a great time here!  The waves have been amazing every day and that's the reason why I do these events. I was trying to build my scores throughout the event and I finally did that with the 10 at the end. I drove up here from Santiago and have been surfing the whole way. Those days in France when it was massive helped me a lot to feel confident in this kind of waves and I’m now over the moon with this victory! »    Photos Credit : Seb Zanella/Nixon Congrats again William! Stay tuned to discover William’s new clip, filmed and edited by Desillusion Mag. Photos Credit : Seb Zanella/Nixon

Costa Rica's Gold - Surf Team Goes South!
So we took a trip to Costa Rica to shoot our all-new Fall boardshorts & swimwear collections, and instead of ending the story right now with "and the rest is history," we'd like to give you a little insight into our majestic journey to the rugged Central American country. Enter Balaram Stack, Coco Ho, Nate Tyler, Maud Le Car, Ryan Burch, Quincy Davis, and Andrew "Droid" Doheny. Picture a desolate rainforest and narrow unstructured dirt roads echoed by a variety of bird chips and animal calls only to be triumphed by thoughts racing through your head of "where's the beach and how fast can we get there." 3,400+ miles from the nearest home in California, obvious transplants (no help from Balaram & Droid's bleached hair), and a crew full of expensive surfboards and camera equipment is your scene. photos by Tom Carey Quickly finding the way to our newly-found two-week home w/ an epic pool inside a quaint little village, we linked up with local legend Tony Roberts who is a mastermind that paved the way for the community down here by designing skateparks and running various surf tours. After ripping through some fun spots inside the village, and getting weird in the neighboring jungle, we hopped on a friend's boat and made our voyage to the famous Witch's Rock. For any surfer, Witch's is a bucket list mission and our journey there was one for the books! Witch's Rock Our goal was to shoot the team in our new boardshorts and swimwear collections, get some rad action shots, explore the land, and simply have a good time on this journey through a quest for spiritual intoxication. And we got that. But we got more, a lot more. Take a ride with us through a captivating feel-good photo book from our Costa Rican adventure: Droid: pro surfer, pro model.  Maud Le Car (left)Coco Ho (center)Quincy Davis (right) Coco Ho Ryan Burch w/ one of his hand-shaped mystical twin fins Quincy Davis (left)Coco Ho (middle)Maud Le Car (right) Quincy Davis       Buddies Oh hey, Quincy Droid rips!
