Fill in the blank: Hello. My name is Charly Quivront, some people call me le Chat. I would best describe my hometown as a good place to rest and see friends.  I've traveled quite a bit, but by far the best place I've been is Hawaii, because it's warm and there is fun waves everyday. But, by far most worse trip ever was to Canaries a couples years ago...

The Volcom Road Rager Tour, French West Coast
It has been long awaited the chance to come back and visit Bretagne and enjoy the beautiful landscapes, the delicious crepes and the tasty cider. Unfortunately, we cannot say that we found good waves … it was mostly small and on-shore and as everyone told us “You should have been here yesterday, it was pumping !” Bad timing ? Maybe … but the guys prefer to surf on-shore waves anyway ! Willy Charly Baptiste We took a big camping car, asked William Aliotti, Charly Quivront and Baptiste Gaud to jump in, and drove all the way from Hossegor to Brest, our first stop of the tour with Side Shore Surfshop. We could enjoy some great surf movies at the Brest Surf Film Festival before heading south to visit Absolute Surfshop and surf in Crozon with the local kids that were ripping on their home spot ! No time to rest, the next day we had to be in Guidel to visit Action Line Surfshop, surf & skate on schedule ! The micro ramp is right in front of the shop and the kids were super keen so we decided to throw a Best trick Session ! Baptiste had a few tricks but the local groms took it home. We were very impress by their levels of skateboarding, hat down Guidel ! Next stop was Keepcool in Carnac where we had the best session of the trip at La Cote Sauvage, Quiberon. A super funny left where Charly and Baptiste had a blast on a sunny day. BTW, it was pissing rain in the South West of France ! Everyone was very excited about the next one in the Volcom Store Nantes, a student city where we heard the night life can be pretty epic. The surf team did some DIY Road Rager tshirts for the customers and we played a big darts tournament before visiting the museums and libraries of the city ... yeah maybe we only visited pubs and clubs … On a big hangover, we drove to Ile de Ré and had a beautiful evening at Reves D’Iles Surfshop where we skated in front of the shop and gave a skate lesson to the local groms. The day after we drove to Charly’s home town, Royan, to visit his dad’s shop Maracuja. A big crowd was waiting for Charly, the first surfer of the town who succeed in becoming a pro surfer. You can see that the kids are inspired by his achievements, that was nice and we had a blast, thanks Yannick ! To finish with fireworks we had plan a big one in Biscarosse at La Vigie, on the same days that the Junior Qualifying Series were running. Art expo by Roch Tortuga, live music by Cheaap, surf test by Firewire Surfboards, all these on tape for free. A big day to celebrate a great shop while the JQS was called OFF for a lay day. This tour was great, we shared some good times with our best surfshops, discovered a beautiful coast line and experimented the camper life. We will be back next year, one day in advance, so we should get more waves All the photos have been shot by Kevin Berthelot

Charly Quivront Lets Loose in Hawaii
Charly Quivront, aka The Cat, is not new to this whole Hawaii thing. The young French surfer has spent many winter seasons at the Volcom Hawaii Houses surfing his brains out, hanging with the house crew dudes like Tai Vandyke and Kaimana Henry, and scoring tons of photos and video clips along the way. This season, Charly met Gabriel Novis, one of Brazil's hottest surf filmmakers, and they instantly clicked. Gabriel was itching to work on a new project, and Charly was eager to get some fresh clips online. So the boys got to work in Hawaii and turned out this killer edit. We asked Gabriel what it was like working with Charly: I have been wanting to do a raw video part for a while. Inspired on those old skateboard films that we all grew up watching, and when I heard about this Volcom kid Charly Quivront staying in Hawaii for the winter, I jumped on the opportunity. It was the perfect fit. It was super fun filming with Charly and have the opportunity to stay at the Volcom House. The vibe is just insane over there, pretty cool place to be. Charly is a raw talent. The kid is true and surf needs more people like this. He knows how to mix high perfomance surfing with real fun sessions and Hawaii was the perfect set up for this rad sunny clip! photo: Tom Carey photo: Tom Carey Get To Know Charly Quivront Age: 21 Currently living: Hossegor Years surfing: 16 Sponsors: Volcom, ABC, FCS, Gorilla Grip, Maracuja Surf Shop Favorite spot: Lower Trestles (California) or Seignosse (France) Favorite country: Hawaii, but I need to go back to Indo Goals: Chasing good waves, having fun, and getting the best results on the QS tour! Charly Quivront MAGMA
Charly « The Cat » Quivront is back on the web with the editing « Magma » filmed between France and Costa Rica. The young French surfer will start soon his new WSL campaign with the goal to reach the TOP 100 WQS ranking. Regarding his level in the movie, we can easily think that he should join soon Joan Duru and Gony Zubizarreta, his european fellow teammate, in the TOP 100. Good Luck Charly! Pic: Andrew Christie

French Perfection by Charly and William
On September 25th, waves were absolutely pumping in Hossegor, just front of the Volcom House! Waves were solid, the lineup was pretty hard to read, but our 2 young surfers William Aliotti and Charly Quivront found tow of the best waves of the day so far. Charly had got the most perfect one in the morning. William found the gnarliest and biggest one in the beginning of afternoon just before the wind turned on shore. SURFLINE Good one guys! Keep charging!

Charly Quivront, runner up in Espinho
What a great week for the Volcom Junior team at the second European Pro Junior of the season at Espinho, Portugal. Congrats to Charly Quivront who finished runner up and is now sitting at the 2nd place of the WSL Euro Junior overall ranking! Charly surfed super sharp and was definitely the best surfer of this contest! Unfortunately he missed one solid score in his final and lost in a super tight heat! That’s still a great result for the French Man and we can’t wait to see him at the next contest in Spain at Sopelana at the end of July. Charly was not the only Volcom surfer who ripped at Espinho, Leon Glatzer, from Germany, scored almost a prefect heat, 19.87, with 2 of the biggest airs ever landed in an European contest! Letitia Canales was back on business after a long time injury and she managed a solid result: 3rd place. Welcome back in the water Letitia!! Now meet up at Sopelana in Basque Country on July 23rd for the 3rd Pro Junior of the season! Charly Quivront - Podium Charly Quivront Leon Glatzer   Credits Photos: WSL/Damien Poullenot
