Cody Beiersdorf is a true Midwestern snowboarder. He grew up riding the rope tow at Hyland Hills, wears nothing but a hoodie in subzero temperatures, and slaughters anything metal or concrete. Minneapolis, Minnesota is Cody’s backyard, and he knows it well. Very well. He spends his summer’s riding his bike through every side street, back alley and abandoned building to stockpile spots for the winter. Cody has an effortless style that makes the techest trick seam simple, which matches exactly his mellow demeanor. Cody was hand picked and put on the team by Volcom’s long time team rider, Seth Huot, with whom he shared his debut part in Volcom’s 2012 video release, IP2. Look for Cody to have a stand out part in Keep the Change’s newest flick “Roll-Call” coming out in Fall 2013.

elooa GIRLS CAMP BALANCE – Successful start for the girls!
Last weekend 20 motivated girls came to the Kitzsteinhorn for the elooa GIRLS BALANCE CAMP presented by VOLCOM. Also present were next to the elooa crew, a yoga teacher, a professional photographer as well as a filmmaker and the pro riders Mary Luggen & Ana Rumiha. After check-in the camp started with a yoga session into the weekend. Super motivated and well equipped with new Nitro Snowboards everbody went to the glacier on Saturday. After an extensive warm up and a few runs through the resort the girls practiced freestyle basics first before a perfectly shaped snowpark was waiting. Together with the coaches and the pro girls everybody practiced intensively all day and learned new tricks. In the afternoon we went back to our hotel, the Active by Leitner ́s 4* hotel that had all lot to offer: holiday galore! After coffee and cake a one hour yoga session with Anna Kathalina followed and before dinner everyone could recover in the spa area. After a very delicious and healthy dinner the day ended with an intense video coaching for all participants. On the final Sunday all campers went back to the Snowpark Kitzsteinhorn to implement the new tips of the pros and elooa coaches directly. The weather was still kind of inconsistant but we had sunshine all day. After numerous runs and a lot of new tricks in the bag an eventful weekend came to an end. The elooa crew would like to thank all participants, the sponsors, the hotel Active by Leitner ́s and the Kitzsteinhorn for an amazing camp. We are looking forward to more elooa GIRLS CAMPS in 2017. We still have a couple of spots for our GIRLS SPLITBOARD and GIRLS BACKCOUNTRY FREERIDE CAMP available. Find more infos on www.elooa.com

Arthur Longo Weekend Essentials | Volcom Outerwear 2017
The weather forecasts are firing, your crew is blowing you up, and the weekend shred getaway is dialed in! Now the serious question: what are you going to pack?! Some of the biggest things that can make or break that perfect day of shredding is how you prepare for the conditions and a little knowledge into what to expect. As we all know, you aren’t going to last long nuking pow day showing up to the chairlift in just a hoodie, or getting stuck sweating it out in that heavy down jacket during warm spring conditions. Making good outerwear decisions is crucial! So, to help you out, we had a few of the Volcom Snow team riders breakdown their favorite gear to wear during their hometown weekend shred sessions! "If you were to take a trip to Les 2 Alpes in December, you know you could encounter some of the coldest days of the winter and hopefully big snow falls. The bottom of the resort is at 1600 meters and rises up to 3200 meters where some of the best off-post runs are already in good conditions. To make sure I spend a long day out, I usually pick a combo of Gore-Tex Overall and Jacket. Also, the best option if you want to go straight from the snow to the après ski is dry underwear!" - Arthur Longo Shop Arthur's Winter Weekend Essentials Stone GORE-TEX® Jacket Rain GORE-TEX® Overall Base Layer Crew Base Layer Pant SFD Powder Mitt Sweep Lined Beanie More Winter Weekend Essentials Scott Blum Bryan Iguchi Pat Moore Arthur Longo Elena Hight Marcus Kleveland Shop All Snow Outerwear

Volcom Zip Tech® Jacket-to-Pant System Keeps Snow Out
It's no secret, being cold and wet is the easiest way to ruin a good day on the hill. And let's face it, everyone falls down, slides out, sits on a icy/wet chairlift and so on. It is snowboarding after all, and snow is going to try to find a way up your jacket and down your pants, soaking your base layers making it difficult to regulate your body temperature and in general cause you discomfort. Which is why over a decade ago the design team at Volcom developed the innovative Zip Tech® "zip your jacket to your pants" system for Volcom Outerwear as the first line of defense in keeping your body dry and your stoke high.

Volcom Outerwear With GORE-TEX® Provides Maximum Protection From Weather
Found throughout the Guide Proven Technology (GPT) collection from Volcom Outerwear, GORE-TEX®'s fabric provides a durable waterproof, windproof and highly breathable outer layer shell essential to performing under the most critical conditions. In addition to keeping you dry by providing reliable weather protection, GORE-TEX® allows perspiration vapor to escape your outerwear so your body stays dry and you remain comfortable. .bquote {margin:30px 0 0;font-size:24px !important;} @media only screen and (max-width: 960px){ .bquote {font-size:16px !important;} } @media only screen and (max-width: 768px){ .bquote {margin:0;} } "Growing up in the Northwest we get a variety of different conditions, from world record snowfall at Mount Baker, to 90 days of straight rain. I learned real fast, if you want to stay warm, dry and comfortable GORE-TEX® is the only way."- Jamie Lynn Different GORE-TEX® technologies can be found throughout the GPT collection and are utilized depending on the product's overall design and intended use. Shop TDS® INF GORE-TEX® Jacket Learn More Last season we introduced GORE-TEX®’s new GORE® C-KNIT™ backer technology to our flagship TDS® Jacket. This new 3-layer GORE-TEX® fabric with GORE® C-KNIT™ backer technology weighs up to 10% less than standard 3-layer GORE-TEX® fabric and improves breathability by as much as 15% while remaining durable, waterproof and windproof. For our Guide Jacket and Guide Pant we use standard 3-layer GORE-TEX® fabric for its added durability which is the result of bonding the garment’s backing (flannel in Red, mesh in Camouflage) directly to the GORE-TEX® membrane which then doesn’t require the additional breathable lining system like the 2-layer GORE-TEX® does. By removing the need for a separate liner, there is no movement between layers, reducing wear and tear caused by friction, and increasing the garment’s overall durability while weighing less. The most common and versatile GORE-TEX® fabric found in jackets and pants in the Volcom GPT collection is a 2-layer construction that when combined with Volcom’s V-Science breathable lining system provides excellent weather protection and maximum comfort. 3-Layer GORE-TEX® vs. 2-Layer GORE-TEX® 3-Layer GORE-TEX® laminate construction is used on the Volcom Guide Jacket and Pant, where Volcom's inner flannel or mesh garment lining is bonded directly to the GORE-TEX® membrane that itself is bonded to the outer fabric. Where in Volcom outerwear jackets and pants utilizing 2-Layer GORE-TEX® laminate construction, the garment makes use of a separate un-bonded Volcom V-Science liner, so that the GORE-TEX® membrane's only direct bond is to the outer fabric. "The difference that makes sense to me, is being able to stay outside in the elements longer. With GORE-TEX®, my gear letting me down is never an issue." - Jamie Lynn Shop Men's GORE-TEX®Shop Women's GORE-TEX®
