Volcom Welcomes Hailey Langland To Global Snow Team

HAILEY LANGLAND HAS BEEN MAKING A NAME FOR HERSELF SINCE SHE STARTED SNOWBOARDING AT AGE FIVE.

She exists in changing time zones, her passport stamped with groomer laps, take-offs and landings. She’s got a front three that floats for days and radiates a style that’s beyond her years. She grew up paddling into waves and pushing down streets in beachside San Clemente, CA. She first made turns at Bear Mountain and now calls Mammoth’s Main Park home, both proving grounds for sovereign snowboarders. She’s fluid and explosive. She has a method that turns heads. It’s the kind of kick-out that can’t be learned. It’s built-in from birth, harkening the past that’s built for the future.

We can’t be more excited to welcome Hailey to the Volcom Family. She brings an impressive past, a promising future, and an unmatched personality which radiates passion and perseverance. While she joins us now, she has always been destined to the Stone. It was only a matter of time for the stars to align, and that time is now.

“I’M PSYCHED TO BE JOINING THE VOLCOM FAMILY! IT’S A DREAM COME TRUE TO BE PART OF A FAMILY THAT’S MUCH BIGGER THAN JUST SNOWBOARDING. I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE WHERE THIS JOURNEY TAKES ME.”

Hailey’s collection of heavy medals is already plush, though she’s truly just getting started. She landed a first-ever cab double ten in the 2017 X Games and earned her first Aspen gold. See? Just getting started. She’s logged time on podiums around the world. Slopestyle? Check. Big Air? Check. Three years in a row, she’s won the Drink Water Rat Race—a banked slalom where just getting to the bottom is a victory. And Hailey’s been the fastest. Three times. She’s the future of women’s slopestyle, yet her ease and authority with which she puts down tricks stretch far beyond contest boundaries. She’s the future of women’s snowboarding. Scratch that. She’s the future of snowboarding.

“Hailey’s energy and style are pure Volcom. I’m super hyped on what she brings to the program. She’s got full approval from the team. It’s on!!!”

Hailey is serious about style and truly loves to ride. It’s visible in every turn she makes, every slash, and every air she attempts. It’s not fabricated. It’s natural. Established at a very young age. At only seventeen, she’s both a beacon to snowboarding’s roots and a flare to the future, lighting up what’s possible when talent, grit, and creativity are fused together.

“I CANNOT STRESS IT ENOUGH HOW MUCH STYLE MATTERS. WE’RE ALL BECOMING ROBOTS OUT THERE, IT’S DRIVING ME FREAKIN’ NUTS.”

She has been True To This since she first stood sideways, but now, with the nourishment of the Stone, she can further feed her freedom of expression, and we are so stoked to welcome her to the family.
